We regret to announce that in view of the current economic environment we have decided to concentrate our business in Japan, and, as result, we closed our Silicon Valley Office at the end of October.

Although the Silicon Valley Office has been productive, recent developments in the global economy have caused us to re-evaluate how SOEI USA fits into our strategy for providing assistance to our Japanese clients seeking intellectual property rights on five continents while simultaneously assisting overseas clients and associates in intellectual property prosecutions and litigation in Japan.

We are confident that we will be able to maintain the strong ties that we have forged with clients and law firms throughout the Americas in the four years since we opened our Silicon Valley Office by using email, video conferences, telephone calls and increased travel to the Americas and international forums such as the INTA and the AIPLA.

We look forward to providing all the rapid, quality service and attention to detail that our clients and associates have come to expect from our head office in Tokyo.
